History

The company was set up by Mrs Pat Wolstenholme in 1995; it commenced trading from her home with approximately twenty employees. The company was registered with the local council to provide agency care where required.

As Xcel Nursing Services grew it moved to its first town centre address, then with continued expansion, in 1999 a move to the larger current office location was needed.At the same time the company became 'Limited', with four full time directors on the board. Mrs Pat Wolstenholme stepped back from the day to day routine of running the business in 2004.

Present

Xcel Nursing Services Ltd has a strong management team in place, along with an in-house finance department and a team of co-ordinators who operate the modern telecommunications system, available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

We have our own training suite and team of development officers who provide training up to NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care. The company also provides a wide variety of mandatory training, this includes - safe manual handling, recognising and minimising abusive situations, health and safety - first aid, fire safety, basic food hygiene and infection control.

Future

Xcel Nursing Services Limited strives to maintain first class care provision to all its clients and is constantly looking to increase its staff numbers and client base whilst maintaining the friendly, professional service to those who rely on it.
